You have the guts to do what’s right when everyone else just runs away, and I just can’t! I can’t!

i got to pilot our new curriculum in a real 7th grade classroom today.
the students called me “mr. <insert my last name here>”.
mr. <insert my last name here>!!!
on a personal level:
- it made me feel fucking old.
- i don’t believe i was ever that young. and certainly never that stupid.
- the kids didn’t annoy me. (i am astounded:
i thinki hate children) - i guess i could be maybe a teacher…one day.
- perhaps my job isn’t so bad after all.
anyway, it made an impression, and i learned a lot.
This is like secular High Holy Days for political dorks.
